The points are about equally spaced out along the x-axis because the ball is traveling at a constant speed in the horizontal direction. As the ball reaches the top of its trajectory it begins to slow down which make the points become closer together. The points in the Y direction become larger because the ball is going up, once the ball reaches it top point the points begin to slope downward and also become farther apart because the ball is picking up speed due to gravity.
